Are you on team "hang on to summer" or "bring on fall"?

Though I am looking forward to cozy blankets, spooky season, and warm soup on a cold day, I'm actually feeling sad to see summer end. Where I live here in Colorado its chilly in the mornings but 85 degrees by afternoon. So, I'm not quite feeling the transition yet.

Whether you're excited for fall or mourning the end of summer, I've got some tips for helping with this change of seasons.

Take some time to journal

  • Many reasons why we feel so bittersweet at the change of seasons is because we don't want to forget what made the last one so special. Find time to jot down some of your favorite memories.

Make one last summer dessert or try a new fall treat

  • I'm definitely going to miss peach season! I guess it’s time to make one more peach cobbler!
  • But I'm also looking forward to making pumpkin muffins!

Reflect on the things you *won't miss* about the last season

  • I'm looking at you mosquitos!
  • Maybe you won't miss your extremely hot car?

Add a little more festivity to your everyday life

  • It’s easy to get excited for the next season by adding a little sprinkle of fun to your life. For example, adding a pump of pumpkin spice syrup to your coffee might be the little push you need to get ready for fall!
